Hammock Chair Stands

Hammock chair stands are an important part of your hammock chair. Get the right one, and life is good. Get the wrong one, and what is supposed to be a relaxing, peaceful experience turns into a nightmare leaving you far more stressed and upset than you were before you invested in a hammock.

On this site, you will find numerous kinds of hammocks with stands, and for every budget. First, determine what you need (see this site for checklist). Then, check out the various stands displayed on this site. Read the user reviews, as they often give much better real-world results than you get from a manufacturer. I’d not place too much importance on the overall cost (but get the best deal possible) … remember, you want a hammock and stand that truly relaxes you and lasts for years when you get your perfect hammock and stand.

Where should I go with this story?

So I was looking up some good creative writing exercises and one of them was a picture that i had to write a little story to. It was a tree house, this is what I wrote=

Martin pokes his head out of the tree house, "Hey aren’t you coming up?"
"No!" I yelled from below, "I’ll just stay down here."
"Why? Are you scared?" Martin sniggers, his cheeks broad with a dimple filled smile. His golden hair flopping in front of his gleaming blue eyes.
"No silly, I’m not scared!" I said to him, my hands on my hips, a scowl across my face.
"Come on Annie! I put a hammock up here and everything."
"Fine," I gave in, "But come down here and help me up."
Martin sits down and dangles his shoeless feet over the edge. He jumps down the 5 and a half foot drop, landing gracefully on his feet.
"Come on, I’ll help you up."
There were no foot hold or ladders to get in, so it left me wondering how he got up alone. My little hands grabbed onto the edge of the treehouse’s front balcony, my arms fully extended, standing on my tippy-toes. He grabbed me under my bottom and hoisted me up. I struggled, but finally got one full leg on the edge and rolled myself and the front balcony of Martin’s ‘house’. I turned around to see him springing from the trunk of the closest tree, his knees landing nicely on the edge.
"Did Papa help you build this?" I asked him.
"Of course, you didn’t see us?" my ten-year-old older brother replied, his round, cheeky face gleaming with pride. We were three year apart, though other thought we were five. I look younger than all my friends and I am always treated like a baby.
I walked through the front entrance to see the hammock, a couple blankets and some chairs.
"I like it," I say. He really did do a good job.
"Thanks Annie!" he says, smile faded just a little, recalling the memories of our father.

1. How is this so far? Do you like it?
2. I don’t know where to go with this story. I was thinking these were young German kids during World War 2 and their father, a Nazi military leader has gone off to fight. They havent heard from him in a while and they dont know how the is doing. How does that sound?

thanks :)

How do I hang a hammock in my dorm room without damaging the walls?

I was thinking about some industrial strength sticky hooks but can’t find any online. I think I will tie one end on my bed and have the other on the wall. It has to support my weight.

lawn mower repair; bent shaft.?

I have a toro recycler mdl. #20017 with a bent crank shaft. I have confirmed the shaft is indeed bent. I can not bring myself to just throw the mower away. It was bent by a relative who borrowed it. He states he hit the foot of a hammock stand and the mower cut off and he noticed oil had leaked from the bottom. He couldnt re-start it. I got it back and was able to re-start it like normal and noticed a heck of a vibration. I hoped the blade was bent, but it is definately the shaft thats bent. What can I do. A new comparable model is around 500 bucks. With this economy, thats out of the question, I have tools, wherewithall and some knowledge.

What is the cheapest and lightest hammock that will keep me dry and comfy in a rain storm?

I’m trying to become a budget ultralight backpacker.
Are there any great hammocks that will fit my needs?

Don’t want to spend tons of $$$ for a Hennessey but want a reliable product.

Thanks for your help,
Ariel

What do you think of my book?

Chapter 3

The next morning William and the others departed. They ate berries and nuts as they made their way through the woods to the shore. When they arrived at the boat. It wasn’t just a boat, but a ship!

“Do you know how to sail?” Mckayla asked William.

“How hard could it be?” he replied.

A loud Boom sounded and a single drop of rain hit the deck, and with a WOOSH it was pouring down rain.

They all ran up the ramp and onto the ship. Susan assisted Anna and Mckayla below deck. “It’s warmer and safer down here.” She said. She rushed back on deck. Huge waves hit the side of the deck as they sailed further out to sea.

“How long is it across the ocean, Will?” questioned Jordan .

“I don’t know.” William said. “Just keep pulling on those ropes.”

Hours crept by and soon they were leagues away from shore. A huge wave swept over the side of the ship and knocked Susan into the mast. She stood a little dazed; she looked up at the sail. It was stuck! He gathered up her courage as she climbed up the mast and into the crows nest. Susan reached across and untangled the sail. The impact knocked her off the crows nest and into the churning water below. William heard the splash and looked over the side of the ship. “Susan!” he shouted. He threw off his sword and scabbard and dove into the violent sea. To his surprise the water was calmer below than above. He rose quickly and filled his lungs with air and resumed looking for Susan he used both his arms and his legs to swim faster. A blurry shape moved by him, who knows what sort of things live here, he thought. He squinted hard, he saw a girl- Susan! It was her! He swam over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her to the surface. “ Jordan let down a rope! Hurry!”

Suddenly he felt a hard tug and Susan slipped out of his grasp. He took another breath and pushed himself underwater. He watched in terror as Susan sank to the bottom. As if she was being pulled by an unseen hand. He kicked harder until he was nearly atop his sister, he repeated himself as he put an arm around her again. He tried desperately to drag her to the surface but failed. The invisible hand had a tight grip on her. He looked back towered the bottom and what he saw scared him half to death. It was a siren!

From waist up she was human but waist down she had a long shimmering tail. She had long red hair and bright blue eyes. She was one of the most beautiful girls he had ever seen- that is until she hissed releasing a fizz of bubbles. That snapped her out of the trance. William kicked hard trying to get away from her. He used his free hand to swim harder. He smashed her jaw with his leg. She released Susan and swam to the ocean floor. He swam harder until he broke the surface. He gasped filling his lungs with air. Rain pelted on his head.

“ Jordan !” He yelled. “Where’s the rope?”

“I’m looking for it!”

Soon a line was thrown down and William tied it to Susan. Jordan heaved her up and William followed. He rushed to his lifeless sister. He felt her wrist- no pulse. He flipped her over and began pushing on her abdomen.

Susan coughed and spat saltwater onto the deck. “Will?” she asked?

“Oh, thank God you’re alright!”

She reached up and touched her head tenderly. “What happened?”

Jordan rolled his eyes. “You fell overboard.”

Susan frowned, “I don’t remember?”

William sighed, “Why don’t you go below deck for a while.”

Susan stood up and walked across the deck to the stair way. Unaware of the danger growing below the ship.

As soon as Susan descended down the stairs she felt an icy chill. She wondered if this was because she had been in warm water then exposed to cold air. She sighed and her breath froze. Susan looked around, she saw her sisters asleep in hammocks that hung from the ceiling she walked to the nearest one and nearly tripped over a lantern. She lit it and hung it on a metal spike. She slipped off her shoes and laid down. She closed her eyes and yawned. Everything was so peaceful. The ship jerked to a stop throwing her forward.

Mckayla and Anna both woke startled.

“What was that?” Mckayla asked.

Anna grabbed her bow and fitted an arrow to it. She glanced around… nothing.

“Girls, there’s something up here.” Jordan called.

They grabbed their weapons and hurried up on deck. The rain had stopped. Mckayla walked across the deck and looked over the side of the ship. The water started to bubble and churn and the smell of long dead fish was in the air.

Out of the water shot a long, slimy, green sea serpent. Its body was as thick as a man. The serpent looked around the deck for the easiest prey. It saw Mckayla; bearing his teeth it spat an orange liquid at her. Her feet were stuck! She couldn’t move!

The monster lunged

Dream interpretations?

Ok I would like to know what my dream means..

I’m standing there in a blue dress, in a huge dense jungle with dark green trees, the wood in a dark brown. But in the middle of the jungle is a black stream(which im standing over). Then there is always something yellow. Like on night it was palm trees, another birds, and the last hammocks. I’ve had it 3 night in a row now.
